BEARDED DRAGONS

Bearded dragons are among the reptile enthusiasts favorite – weather new to reptile care or a seasoned herpetologist, you’re sure to fall in love with your baby beardie. These dessert dwelling reptiles are full of personality and among the tamest and most docile lizards.  You can often find full grown bearded dragons contentedly draped on their human counterparts’ shoulders.

Adult size: 12-18inches

Lifespan: 6-10 years

LEOPARD GECKO

Leopard geckos are a hardy and attractive dessert dwelling lizard. Their relatively small size makes them a great choice for any home, as they don’t have the same space requirements of their larger lizard counterparts. 

Adult size: 6-9inches

Lifespan: 6-15years

ANOLE

Anoles are a small, tropical species of lizard that may often be housed together. As an arboreal lizard, anoles enclosure can be quite beautiful, as either fake or real plants mimic their tropical environment. In a relatively small space you can create a beautiful terrarium that will allow you to enjoy watching your anoles unique behaviors and interactions – bringing a little bit of the tropics to your home.

Adult size: 5-8inches

Lifespan: 3-6 years

BALL PYTHON

Ball pythons are one of the most commonly kept pet snakes, due largely to their relative small size and mild temperament. Often you can see a ball python wrapped around his owner’s neck, very content and calm. Due to specialized breeding a plethora of unique morphs of ball pythons are becoming widely available.

Adult size: 3-5feet

Lifespan: up to 30years

HERMANS TORTOISE

Hermans are an excellent choice for a pet tortoise. They typically do not get any larger than 8 inches, and being from an arid climate, their habitat is kept in more moderate conditions, which are easier for the novice to maintain. A curious and active reptile, a hermans tortoise will be part of your family for generations.

Lifespan: 50+ years
